Editor's note:

Chinese football clubs' winter transfer window slams shut on Tuesday. Out of all the mega deals, Brazil star Oscar's decision to join Shanghai SIPG and Argentine striker Carlos Tevez's deal with Shanghai Shenhua created the biggest sensation. Meanwhile, Wayne Rooney has rejected an offer to join China Super League (CSL) after media reports claimed that he might swap Manchester United for CSL clubs. Here are the top 6 deals struck with foreign players during the two-month window period.

1. Oscar: from Chelsea to Shanghai SIPG

The international midfielder Oscar signed a new contract with Shanghai SIPG club in late December after serving for Chelsea in the past 4 years. The new deal is reportedly set a new record for the Asian transfer market, with the transfer fee said to be 60 million pounds or $74 million.

The 25-year-old Brazilian scored 38 goals in 203 appearances for Chelsea, and he has lifted the Premier League, League Cup and Europa League titles at the London club.
