On Feb 10, He Yize climbed up 50 stairs in 27'012'' seconds while twirling at a city wall in an amusement park in Southwest China's Chongqing and broke the previous Guinness World Record for the feat, 30 seconds. The new record was certified by an official Guinness World Record judge who was onsite.

He, 50, is a handyman in the city and loves running. In 2010, he accidentally discovered the ability to twirl for an extended time without experiencing any dizziness. Since then, he's practiced twirling during his daily exercise.

"I find this activity suits me very well," he said. "I feel relaxed and peaceful while twirling."

In 2013, after he saw a dancer twirling for four hours at a Spring Festival gala on TV, he tried it himself at a playground and easily accomplished the spins.

He made up his mind to challenge a Guinness World Record in this field. He practiced intensively, usually two to three hours a day.

After two failed attempts, He finally realized his dream to become a world record holder.
