A custom treat for polar bears

To celebrate the Lantern Festival, which fell on Friday this year, staff members at Harbin Polar Park prepared special yuanxiao for their two polar bears on Thursday.
Unlike traditional yuanxiao — balls of glutinous rice with fruit, nuts, vegetables, meat and eggs — the polar bears' treats were made with flour, beef, fish and various vegetables.
Each of the jumbo yuanxiao has a diameter of about 30 centimeters.
The bears' handlers also prepared some small yuanxiao in different flavors, which received a warm welcome from the animals.
