More attempts at green development

In the second step of the "ice breaking" plan, based on trust between WWF and stakeholders, we seek their common pursuit in conservation and development. It is a process of recognizing values, creating values and utilizing values, thus we can get more people engaged in conservation and development.

Zhang Weimin became aware of the significance of conservation projects from biomass stoves, and he continued to engage in the Yaodian village committee cooperative's green development projects. In February 2023, with WWF's support, the cooperative held a green development meeting, inviting experts to share green planting techniques on site. Many villagers attended the meeting. Zhang Weimin actively asked the green agriculture expert many questions and he also introduced local situations. In the end, he proposed to try green planting in 10mu of his field.
