Participants from China and ASEAN countries are now being encouraged to take part in a competition that focuses on artificial intelligence application in various scenarios.

At the launch ceremony for the Pan-Industry Mega AI Tournament on Saturday in Nanning, South China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, organizers said that the competition, with top prizes of up to 200,000 yuan ($27,800), is open to leading enterprises, startups, research institutes, university students, and individuals from China and ASEAN countries.

Divided into three categories, the competition puts a special emphasis on the application of artificial intelligence in automotive, agriculture, cultural and tourism, finance, transportation, and cross-border talent entrepreneurship and innovation.
