More than 30m students in vocational schools

0BEIJING - China has more than 30 million students studying in vocational schools, as well as 72.65 million people who have graduated from such schools over the last 10 years, according to a report issued by the Ministry of Education.
According to a report on the development of vocational education, the employment rate for graduates of secondary vocational schools has been greater than 95 percent for the last six years, while the employment rate for graduates of advanced schools has reached 87 percent.
The report said 47.67 percent of university students are recruited from advanced vocational schools.
Since 2007, China has increased its fiscal support for financial aid policies, helping students from poor families to obtain loans and other aid.
From 2006 to 2010, vocational schools and institutions nationwide trained 185 million people in rural areas, the report said.
