During the 40 years from 1905 to 1945, alongside its military invasion of China, the Japanese government carried out immigration to Northeast China in a planned, organized and step-by-step manner, in an attempt to change the demographic structure of the area and curb the anti-Japanese activities of the people in Northeast China.

The contents of these archives mainly include:

Information on the purchase of land for “exploration” and military purposes and grievances of the local farmers;

Information on the purchase of land in Huinan by Japanese immigrants;

Information on the land purchase by the “exploration unit” and the strong opposition by the local villagers;

Information on the shooting of local villagers by the “exploration unit” with police rifles;
