Firefighter puts his life aside in face of danger

A young firefighter won respect from his colleagues and internet users as he prioritized the safety of his colleagues in the face of danger - and lost his life doing it.

Zhu Junjun, 26, shouted to his colleagues to retreat after seeing the fire head directly toward them following a sudden pipe explosion as they fought a warehouse fire in Jingjiang city, East China's Jiangsu province, on April 22, 2016.

Instead of retreating along with his colleagues, Zhu went back to save the equipment inside a fire engine to make sure the water supply was saved to extinguish the fire.

In doing so, the young man lost his life.

Zhu's colleagues felt sad that they lost a good fellow and internet users paid their highest tribute to the hero and said they would remember what he did forever.
