SHANGHAI - China's star hurdler, Liu Xiang, says he is leading to run in his first outdoor race on Sunday night at the Diamond League second leg in his hometown of Shanghai.

The local favorite will challenge US hurdles star David Oliver with some new techniques.

"In Sunday's race, I will try to keep pace with Oliver and try not to be far behind him in the first half of the event," Liu said on Saturday.
