New Year special: CCTV Spring Festival gala

Every year on the eve of the Spring Festival, people across China gather with their families and enjoy the annual CCTV Spring Festival gala which features music, crosstalk, comedic sketches and dances. Since 1983, the gala has been the must-watch show during the festival.

Celebrities that highlight this year's cast include boy band TFBoys, actor Hu Ge and leading actresses from popular Chinese TV drama Ode to Joy.
