Another story about tea: skin

(chinadaily.com.cn)

Zhejiang province, in southeast China is not only my birthplace, but also the hometown of Longjing tea.

I grew up with my grandmother in Zhejiang, where tea is part of people’s daily lives. My grandmother has had long hair for many years and she has not lost hair or had hair go white until she was 80 years old. The reason for this is because she squeezed tea oil and smeared it on her scalp when she showered.

When I first moved to the northern China, I did not agree with the climate there. Frozen gaps appeared on my face, neck and hands. My grandma brought some tea oil and honey from my hometown for me. I applied them to the crack of the wound and the wound healed quickly. When summer came, the hot and dry weather left my body itchy. My grandmother told me to take a bath with tea water and salt. After several days, the prickly heat was all gone.

What’s most amazing is that there were no wrinkles on her face when she was 90. Her trick was to heat the tea seed oil and scratch it softly on her face with a bamboo board until it became warm.

I liked studying the beauty tips my grandmother used from tea when I was little and it has become the inspiration creating Demo. I realized tea was good for skin care and could also maintain good health. I decided to release the Demo skin care products after eight years of concentrated research.

As a member of the beauty industry, disseminating ways of keeping health and beauty is duty-bound.

Good water, good tea and good skin are the main ideas of Demo. The essence of the best tea and water is what the skin really needs.
