A group of student reporters from Xiaoshan Daily started a summer camp in Congjiang county, Southwest China's Guizhou province on July 8.

Eleven student reporters from Xiaoshan district in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province, were able to personally experience the customs of the Dong people over the course of three days.

The group has organized a number of public service activities since it was founded in 2004. Recently, the group established a public welfare fund in Congjiang county to support the development of local education.
