The 14th Suzhou eMEX opened on May 20 at Suzhou International Expo Center to show the latest electronic technology and products.

The three-day exhibition highlights the concept of Industry 4.0 characterized by smart manufacturing and industrial automation. eMEX hopes to become the most authoritative IT manufacturing trade show.

More than 500 companies are participating in this year's exhibition and rented 1,300 booths to display their products. The entire show area is 40,000 square meters.

Statistics show that Suzhou's electronics enterprises generated 1.11 trillion yuan ($1797.7 billion) in output value last year, accounting for 8 percent of the national total and 42 percent of the total in Jiangsu Province.

In the first quarter of this year, the city's IT industry achieved 223.1 billion yuan in revenue, up 3.4 percent from the same period of last year.
