Is jealousy at work against China?

Comment on "West all at sea over China's navy" (China Daily, July 2)
No matter how much China tries to portray itself as a responsible stakeholder in the world with peaceful intent, it's hard to appease other powers and make them change their hostile attitude toward China.
It seems that the other powers are like jealous players who rue the success of their competitor in a game. Some countries demonize China as a threat because they still suffer from Cold War mentality and put their faith in biased reports and distorted information.
