Baby red pandas survive in C China zoo

Red pandas at Changsha Ecological Zoo, Central China's Hunan province, on Dec 11, 2012. A pair of baby red pandas were born at Changsha Ecological Zoo on June 13, and they will experience their first winter in Changsha. It is the first time that the zoo successfully bred the baby red panda. There are now 13 adult red pandas at the zoo. They came from Sichuan in 2010. The red panda, known as the lesser panda, is a rare and endangered animal species found only in China, Nepal, Bhutan, India and Myanmar. They are related to raccoons, skunks and weasels.
