Chinese athlete Xu Shaoyang claimed the title of women's discus throw in 61.30 meters and her teammate Li Yanfeng finished second with 61.13 meters.

Chinese coach Sun You said Xu performed very good during the competition. "She did a very good job at the event," Sun said, adding Li also did well despite the hot weather and high altitude of the city.

Chinese player Sha Li pocketed up the silver medal in women's triple jump, while the gold medal was taken by Kazak Olga Rypakova, who broke the championships record of 14.39 meters with a 14.69-meter jump.

Kyrgyzstan got its first gold medal at the championships with Tatiana Efimenko winning the title of women's high jump on Saturday with 1.94 meters, which is equal to the championships record.

With a throw of 19.70 meters, Indian athlete Navpreeet Singh claimed the title of men's shot put.

Sri Lanka took the gold and silver medals of women's 200 meters race while Japan wrapped up gold in men's 200m.

Men's 800m title went to Saudi Arabian runner M. Obad A. Al-salhi and Bahrain's Kareema Saleh Jasmin ranked first in women's 5,000m.

After two days' fierce competition on 10 categories, Qatari sportsman Ahmed Hassan Musa won the event of men's decathlon with a total points of 7678.

Kazakhstan climbs up to second on the medal standing table with four golds, one silver and four bronzes and Saudi Arabia is at the third place with four golds by Saturday.
