SmartBot, an international academic journal jointly launched by the Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) in Heilongjiang province and multinational academic publisher Wiley, recently debuted online, targeting a global audience, according to HIT on Saturday.

The journal features a 49-member international editorial board, including 26 domestic and international academicians from 20 countries and regions. It is accessible through the Wiley Online Library platform.

Leveraging HIT's State Key Laboratory of Robotics and Systems, SmartBot aggregates top academic resources from around the world.

SmartBot is an interdisciplinary English journal dedicated to building a global academic community, promoting the two-way transformation of basic theoretical research and industrial applications.

It publishes original research, review articles, short communications, comments and viewpoints at the forefront of robotics technology and interdisciplinary fields, such as robotic manufacturing, soft robotics, humanoid robots, micro/nanorobots, medical robots, drive control, artificial intelligence, human-robot interaction, kinematics, sensors and detection.

The inaugural issue features one editorial and five authoritative reviews from top international scholars from China, Switzerland, Germany and Japan, covering breakthroughs and paradigm innovations on intelligent robotics.
