The media preview of Sotheby's 2015 Hong Kong autumn auction for Chinese painting and calligraphy was held on Sept 14. The autumn sale this year will present more than 300 contemporary Chinese paintings and calligraphies, including precious pieces from Zhang Daqian, Fu Baoshi, Huang Binhong and Wu Guanzhong. The overall estimated value of the auction is over HK$ 160 million ($20 million).
The highlights of the autumn sale will be Zhang Daqian's Spring Clouds on a Rural River, Fu Baoshi's On The Train to Sinaia and Beauties.
The auction preview for the public will be held from October 2 to October 5, and the autumn sale for these paintings and calligraphies will be held on October 6.
